Yay, now what pets steal your drops also?
Agree on the dire/hearty thing for pvp though. But PvE charactars simply do have advantages in PvE, like the pet or Q7 weapons/shields.

Hi! This is my weekly "I think this would still be useful so I give it a poll" revival spree.
This week, I revive my idea to give PvP characters a way to customize their wolves that would be also useful for PvE characters.
It's one of the suggestions that I like most. Vote now!
(Next week: More about pets! XD)

Why make something complicated when you they should just put in a pet selection menu in the pvp item creater? Pick out your bow, armor, and your dire black widow, gg.

Because that won't work for PvE characters too.

The original idea is well thought out and presented but Sniper22 has a point. There isn't any need to create an entirely new mechanism (pet insignia/rune) if an existing one (PvP equipment selection) can be extended to provide all the necessary functionality. That PvE characters cannot override the choice of animal (damage type) or training (armor/damage balance) is only to be expected, as they don't have access to PvP weapon building tools either.
So, everything could be accomplished if you had 2 additional multiple choice options in your PvP equipment menu: one for pet type, either wolf (slashing), spider (piercing) or warthog (blunt), and the other for evolution (hearty/elder/dire).

Me too, but we are not in GW, so this would be a quick fix.
And even with a pet stable, you could then save only one pet of each type, and with this, then change each one!
So less stuff to save!

I don't see the point of this change for PvE.
And for PvP just have 9 pets, one of each evolution and damage, on Isle of the Nameless for PvP toons to charm. Don't need a new mechanic just for that.
Although it might be interesting to give pets upgrades similar to weapon upgrades. Shouldn't be unbalanced since pets are hardly used.
/signed for the pet stable btw
